fuel pump

want to do away with vro completely, I have a 438566 fuel pump, I know it calls for a 438599 can I use the 438566 pump instead if not why?

Nothing wrong with his numbers at all.

I don't think I gave bad numbers on the fuel pumps. The numbers came off the parts page and the last number came off the fuel pump I have and I also pulled it up off the parts list. Again all I wanted to know is why it would not work on the 1987 60hp evenrude. in place of the vro pump.
