fuel pump stays on.

I have a 2006 carberated 5.0 sx with an electric fuel pump.The fuel pump stays on when I shut the engine off.I have changed the pump solenoid no change.I have checked the wiring harness but can't find a problem.Does anyone know where the solenoid gets its power to stay engaged from?Red wire is hot all the time.Yellow with a red tracer goes to the pump.Black is a ground.I think what activates is a purple wire witch stays hot but can't find where it goes.Any ideas? Thanks

If any one ever has this problem it turned out to be a bad altenator sending feed back through the wiring harness.
