Fuel pump question

I was at the lake yesterday and could not keep the engine running without pumping the primer bulb. I checked to see if the filter bowl was keeping fuel in it and found that it would drop very low and then fill about half way up, checked to see if there were any air leaks in the gas tank tubing, but could not find any. how do you check the fuel pump?

You can put a pressure gage in the line after the pump and rev the motor. If you see 4psi, it's okay.

I suspect you need to rebuild the pump.
