I have a 2008 90 hp mercury efi... Motor started bogging down and I noticed the ball wasn't hard. So we pumped it and engine revved back up for a few minutes and would get soft again. Got back to dock , went out next morning to check it out and all I got was long beep and motor wouldn't do anything. Took to dealer for diagnostics and they told me it was high pressure fuel pump. They repalced it, I put back in water,,, same thing, ball not hard and needs to be squeezed every so often to keep running... Im figuring the low pressure pump might be bad ??? Any thoughts and if so is this somthing I could change ? have looked at diagrams and think I could, not sure about computer ...
