I pulled the fuel pump from the engine and tried to disassemble it but it was taking too much pressure to separate the housing pieces. It might be time to rebuild or for a new one. I checked shop.evinrude .com and didn't see a rebuild kit only new fuel pump assembly for $96.99. I see OMC rebuild kits on Ebay for $20. Is this pump rebuildable? I thought this pump was common to many of the 1970-1980 model outboards? Apprieciate all comments.
