Fuel Pump???? 70 horse is back down again... :confused:

okay so i had my 70 horse Johnson on the lake today.. she was running better and now.... she seems to be bogging down again.... and now my primer bulb is not getting hard when engine is running... :confused:

what to do now.. I swear.. this engine is going to be new by the time I'm done with it...
 
When the engine is running there is absolutely no need for the bulb the be " hard "------------------------The bulb is nothing but a manual fuel pump to fill the carburetors on start-up----Saves wear and tear on the starter motor.
 
Answer the questions --------------------Have you looked into the carburetor bores at full throttle with a strong flashlight , to compare fuel coming up the main nozzle ???-----------Have you put a timing light on it to confirm good spark on all 3 up to full throttle ????-------------Have the high speed jets been out of the bowl for cleaning ???------------Have you checked fuel for contamination ( water ) ???-----------Is the thermostat in place and working properly ???-----------------Are you running with a built in tank or off a 5/6 gallon tank ???
