fuel problems i think

have a 92 omc cobra 5.0 when at 2000 to 2500 rpms runs fine then it will cut out a bit and then i slow down and it clears and off it goes changed fuel seperator filter seemed better then did it again any thoughts on what could be going on also changed plugs

a lot of marine qjets like to develop a little hesitation at mid throttle accel. -try to get you to kiss the windshield.
They go lean. There is a spring that delays the opening of the secondary air valves that can "fix" it.

However it could also be the secondary metering rods or a number of other issues in the carb.
