1971 Johnson 50 hp. (ELS71)

Ignition timing is perfect, rebuilt carbs, reeds look great, new spark plugs.

When i WOT, i'm getting gas shooting out of the carbs.

When i apply WOT very slowly, i get less gas shooting out of the carbs and it will eventualy stop spitting gas and run great.

I've looked through my entire manual and im stumped. I was thinking i could adjust the needles on carbs?

Any help is MORE then greatly appreciated.

take the carbs out again and r

take the carbs out again and re-check
also re check the reeds
make sure float height is perfect

"I rebuilt carbs, brand new reeds, everything was synchronized and float hieght was perfect. I even put in brand new gaskets.

I made sure evrything was perfect because the reeds are a bitch to get to hehe."
