Fuel problem

I have a 2004 MERCURY 125,starts and Runs good but when I shut down after a hour it's hard to start,any suggestions

Yes I have to choke and a little throttle to get it started

That sounds normal. A motor that sits for a length of time will require the cold start procedure.

After only 10 minutes of sitting I believe the engine is still hot,it should start right up,I believe the problem is the gas oil mixture but not sure

10 min is not an hour. Is this motor new to you? Is this a 4 cylinder 2+2 engine? Probably not the gas oil mix if it runs OK.

Try starting it with out using the cold start procedure when it is hot.

The motor is new to me and is a4 cylinder,had many outboards but never had a problem when hot
