Fuel primer pump

I have recently replaced the electric primer pump on my 30 HP Johnson. The pump has to outlets I assume for a motor with twin carbs. I have the extra line plugged with a screw. Any other suggestions on what to do with the extra outlet

Note------That unit is NOT a pump.----It is an electric VALVE that opens when key is pushed in.-------That unit is used on motors from 9.9 to 300 HP.------Model # of your motor?-----I believe there is a nipple on the intake manifold for the second hose.

Thanks for the information
Motor is a J30ELSRE

This primer valve does NOT fill the carburetor.----The new engines may not use the extra nipple on the manifold.-----Why did you replace this primer ??----Did you get a used primer valve ?-----These simple units rarely fail.----Repair kit is available to fix a leak.----Try the T or Y fitting to join the hoses.----I doubt you can flood the engine with the primer valve.-----You push in the key and hold it in while cranking till motor fires on cold starting.

What have now is a line runs off the switch to a tee.. Off tee one line goes to the carb the other to the intake manifold. Would I eliminate that tee and run one side of switch to the carb and the other side to the manifold ???

??----What switch ?------The red lever on this simple primer valve is for manual operation of the valve.--If you have one wee hose going to the carburetor and one wee hose to intake manifold , then you are ready to go fishing.----Why did you replace this valve ?-----Part # of the primer valve you installed ?----This primer valve is factory replacement or something else ?

Sorry primer valve

When I bought the boat it came with the valve installed with one line blocked off and as I described. The other valve was leaking. Trying make sure it's connected properly

A repair kit is available to repair leaks.-----And on some applications ( 25 / 35 HP 3 cylinder ) there was only one hose needed off this wonderful valve .----This valve was used on 9.9 to 300 HP motor from about 1980 to 2005 models.

Thanks again I am going to reroute the fuel lines from the primer valve one side to the carb the other to the manifold like you said
