Will rev out ok for about 2 seconds, then die out to what seems to be about 2/3 throttle. Tank is venting and fuel filter is spotless.engine idles perfectly. engine ran great last year and sat this past winter with stabil, also I started it on the muffs a couple times this last winter and let it warm up.
I'm thinking it's a fuel problem-maybe float?fuel pump? I have put in new plugs and no change.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

"pump the bulb while under way

"pump the bulb while under way to see if it gets better. It could be sucking air in the line also, check the hoses for security."

"Forgot to mention that I did

"Forgot to mention that I did squeeze bulb while running .... made no diff also checked hose clamps for tightness, all ok.
I am starting to doubt my theory on the fuel thing, as for the distance we ran we used a he!! of alot of fuel.(throttle was wide open and obviosly not burning it all.)
But, I pulled the new plugs after running for a little while and they all looked fine (and all the same).
Kinda got me stumped as to which way to go?
Thanks again.

""do the carbs to be safe,

""do the carbs to be safe, remove and clean"

Sure can't argue with you there, I'd tell someone the same thing. But..., I did remove and clean the carbs when I got the motor last spring.
Not saying for sure that they don't need it again.
But just for the sake of argument, If carbs are good what would be the next guess?
I'm thinking change one plug at a time, and see if there's a difference.(even though their all new)
I have had many brand new plugs in my 2 stroke dirt biking days that would fire when grounded outside the cyl, that would not fire under compression.
That theory aside, anything else anyone can think of? Ohm coils? Ohm plug wires?
Motor runs pretty good just almost like it is lacking one cyl on top end?
