Fuel oil mix

I have a 1976 evinrude 35 hp.

I have a 1976 evinrude 35 hp. I have been mixing my fuel 50:1. A friend has a 25 hp and mixes 100:1. Am I mixing to rich

Tom keep mixing it at 50:1 and

Tom keep mixing it at 50:1 and advise your friend that he needs to also. They put out a few motors with a 100:1 mix and recalled that mix and changed it to 50:1. I know your frien will argue with you but I know he will toast that engine before long.
