fuel mix mariner 8hp

hi i have got myself a mariner 8hp 2 stroke outboard the guy said it was 50.1 mix on it says 100.1 so what is correct also what is the mix ie how many ml of oil to a litre of fuel

50:1 would be 2% oil---------------That is the correct mixture if you want the motor to outlast you.--------At 100:1 motors will run but not for as many hrs.-------------------50 times 20 makes 1000 so it is 20 ml oil in a litre.
