Fuel Line Question 130 HP

I'm changing out all my fuel lines, the line to the primer bulb and from the bulb to the outboard measures 6.5 MM or 0.26 inches- inside diameter.

1. Any reason why I should not upgrade this to 3/8 inch inside diameter- would the extra fuel volume be negative in any way?
2. To change this, is the fitting to the Honda outboard Honda only? Or is it the same as a Yamaha, which is easy to find in a 3/8"?

Thanks,
Don

3/8" inches is fine, but you should use a reducer to 5/16 somewhere between the bulb and the engine.

The Honda fitting is unique and not the same as the Yamaha. The Honda fitting is metric, but 5/16" fits fine. You do not want to squeeze the 3/8" down on the smaller Honda fitting. It will not be a good fit and could suck air. The Honda part # is 16966-MR1-000 is one example of a reducer.
