fuel line clamp?

Ive been restoring an evinrude 15hp 1984 model. I had to replace the main fuel line Where it connects on the other side of where the fuel tank line hooks on and goes to the fuel pump. Should there be a clamp on it.There wasn't one on it just wondering.

Yes. Original was just a tie strap.
