I have a 1994 120 Johnson v4. when we take it out it seems to work fine, then sometimes it acts like there is a pluged fuel filter and it looses power. when it does this its like it looses one cylinder, power wise. Have checked spark and changed plugs all cylinders seem to be firring. Have drained the bowls on the carbs a couple of times and only found maybe one speck. I puped a quart of fuel with the bulb when I had the fuel filter off and there is nothing in the fuel comming from tank. The fuel filter is clean.

Post actual compression values.-----Running with VRO in service or 50:1 ratio.----Test run with cowling off.-----Plastic float bowls could be warped.

Did a test run yesterday and don’t think it is fuel. It seems that at full throttle fuel is flowing, run was without hood or cover on carbs. I think it is one or more coils cutting out just above idle. Our next step is to replace coils. Also going to get gasket kits for carbs so we can check floats. Don’t see any warping at carb surfaces as I have seen people deal with on YouTube. Thanks for the comments, it’s got to be simple.
