"Hello again Peter. I assume you have carbureted engines. I have the FloScan on mine. Works flawlessly, and it's way more accurate than the fuel tank gagues. Also, with gas at $4 a gallon it'll pay for itself as you can find your best economical cruising speed. Your Luhrs will probably cruise best at about 15kts but that's just a guess. Stu"

"Thanx again Stu, can u tell me what is involve to get them install? And Flowscan i heard they are not cheap They are in the 700.00 range if iam not mistaken"

You can go with the Lowrance L

You can go with the Lowrance LMF 400 guage ($160.00) that comes with 1 fuel flow meter and purchase an additional flow meter for about $55.00. Depending on the distance to the bridge you may need a NEMA network extention cable. If you have a chart plotter with NEMA network you could also interface with the LMF 400 and then install the fuel tank level sensor. Then you would have all the fuel / range data you could ever need on your boat.

Robert's suggestion sounds

Robert's suggestion sounds a lot less expensive than the floscan. I have the floscan and it was an easy install-a sensor in the fuel feed line. The floscan looks like a tachometer with the calibration in gph. It also has a totalizer. I like mine but they are a bit pricey. Stu
