Fuel Filter change on 2004 2 Stroke Merc

I cannot find the onboard fuel filter assembly on 2004 Mercury 2 stroke. Does anyone have any information on this?

What horsepower? Serial number?

60 hp, I do not have the serial number.

It should be an inline filter between the fuel pump and the carbs.

Follow the fuel line from the connection on the cowl to the fuel pump (connects at the bottom). Then follow the line out (from the top of the fuel pump that goes to the carbs. About half way along that hose you should find the inline filter. The entire unit is replaced - nothing to disassemble.

Found it and replaced it today. it was the first time it has been replaced. the motor went into service in august 2003. Cant believe it held up.
