How difficult is it to replace the FCC element, anything tricky, advice???

My owners manual says >>Service to be performed by an authorized
Crusader Marine Engines dealer only<< Should I follow the manual and let a professional do it ?"

Open it up and replace it. Easy job. I would fill the canister with as much fuel as you can because the fuel pump is in it and may have a problem picking up the prime. You could remove the inlet fuel line and fill it thru that. There may be a plug on the top of it but I'm not near my boat to check.

I doubt that the dealer will do it free of charge. Changing the filter is a user maintenance thing not something covered under warranty
