[h=1]MERCRUISER 350 MAG. EFI SKI (TBI) GM 350 V-8 1995[/h]Local weather issued a freeze warning. It's 47F now (4:30pm) and is predicted to drop to 32F by 6am tmrw before climbing back up. I just came back to town after a month away, and my 95 Sanger DLX20 has been on the hoist the whole time. Should I open the drain petcocks? Anything else I should drain? Or should I run the engine up to operating temp? When the cover is down, it stays warm a fairly long time. Many thanks for your help, PW

Ayuh,..... This time of year, I drain all the water outa mine, after every use,.....

'n, Yes, there's more to drainin' than just the block, 'n manifold drains, such as the p/s cooler, circulatin' water pump, 'n cool fuel, if so equipped,.....
the drive will drain, if left down,....

Why chance the weatherman being off a few degrees, on mine its five drain points takes all of 5 minutes to drain, being an inboard yours may be more complicated? Do you have a trans cooler as well?

I think you are getting spooked for nothing.... It's going to take several days staying in the mid 20's to freeze anything up and do any damage. 32 degree lows and warming up in the day wont freeze anything except a mud puddle or dew on your windshield.

I'm Not saying that you shouldn't winterize it if it's going to set through the winter. i don't do mine until early to Mid December, but i run my boat until then on a regular basis. Kirk
