Freeze plug popped

Now what. I noticed the front freeze plug by the pulleys on my merc 5.0mpi was popped out a little upon first start after winterizing. Popped it back in and started it while on muffs in the driveway. No other leaks and oil not getting milky so now what.

Pray for Forgiveness and learn how to properly winterize a motor and dont say you did it correctly because the "core plugs" only pop out from the formation of ice and buy a lottery ticket

Well i ran it in the driveway all day for about 20 minutes each time. Didn't hear or see anything different and the oil is still clear from me changing it. Putting it in the water Saturday so i guess that'll be the real test.

All you can do is to run it and watch that oil doesn't get contaminated. My neighbors boat it took some time after he saw a pushed out plug before it started leaking into the oil, maybe three or four uses as nothing showed up on the muffs. Hopefully you'll get lucky. If you have a single point drain you may want to convert it to an old school multipoint drain.

Ditto!
The single point drain system does not allow for probing the open ports as to clear them from potential rust scale build-up.

Compression test wont tell you anything just watch the oil for milky-ness and increasing level from water intrusion. As stated you may get lucky, if you do you can pick my lotto numbers. If you get 3-4 good hard uses out of it with no oil contamination I think your good. Two guys I know who cracked blocks it took a couple of runs for the crack to open up and start pushing water into oil.

I would echo comments from BT above on winterizing - what is your process and what type of cooling do you have (or list a serial number). As mentioned the some of the 'labor saving' systems can lead to incomplete draining and scare the heck out of folks who have been pulling drain plugs for years.

3 point drain. Ran 5 gallons of- 75 through the muffs once the engine temp leveled off at 170. Then left it in. Was stored indoors cold also. Northern illinois so it was below zero for awhile.

IF the block drains are/were plugged with rust/scale the block never drained before you ran the AF thru it. All you did was dilute the water with the AF and the freeze protection was not there.
Way too many cracked motors using this system. You MUST remove the quick connects at the block to ensure drainage and remove the drain hose at the manifold. That elbow clogs up too and does not drain the manifold.
And when the plastic water dist housing cracks I sell a replacement that will never crack

Those drain the block ,there are 2 additional hoses from the manifolds to the drain manifold
