"Hi, i am new to outboards and boats so i hope there is someone out there that can help me. I have just bought a speedboat with a Force outboard from an auction, but the trouble is, it does not say on the outboard lid what HP it is. The sticker on the transom clamp has faided in the sun so that is no good. The information i have is: It is a force engine, it also has US Marine Power badges, It says CFI which is ''crossfire fuel induction''. Under the hood it is a twin cylinder with a number ''RW504222'' stamped on to the cylinder block and next to that is the number 88 in the middle of a circle. I take this to mean a 1988 engine but i might be wrong. The engine is a black colour or if not black a very dark colour and im sure it is original. I hope there is someone that can help me.
