I got a 1989 15hp gamefisher/force. When got it there was no kill switch or wiring for it. Then ehgine runs. I want to install a kill switch. Where do the wires go. I have the flwheel of and the coils are exposed.

There are two nylon screws on your points plate the two wires go to those two screws and then thru the plate to a kill button part number 87-8224440A18. The wires I have also go to a lanyard kill switch you connect to a belt loop incase you fall out of the boat the engine stops.

There is no wire coming out of the points plate. There is one tire that goes from the bottom of the point plate (scrwed on) to a screw on the fuel pump. Here is a pic.

Sorry got threads mixed up to add a kill circuit you need to run two wires through the points plate and attach the wires to each set of points with the condensers. Then you just wire them to a kill button on the lower cowl. Solder the connectors to the wires and add a rubber grommet where they go through the plate. Not hard to do just make sure the wires do not interfer with the spark advance and not rubbing on anything. That wire on the nottom of the plate is just a ground connecting the plate to the block.
