Flywheel Removal Evinrude 1991 90HP

I have two questions regarding

I have two questions regarding flywheel removal:

What size bolts are used to attach the puller to the flywheel?

What sort of tool do I require to hold the flywheel as I tighten / remove the nut?

I would greatly appreciate your help.

Don't know what size bolt, but besure you use a harmonic balancer puller which it sounds like you are doing. fine threads and not metric. I hold the fly wheel by wedging the teeth of the flywheel with a very large plastic screwdriver handle and the lifting point on the back of the engine (I have a different engine though). Just find something you can wedge against. Tighten the puller and give it a solid tap with a hammer. Then repeat. if there is a lot of corrosion you will be working pretty hard.

Be sure to torque the fly nut when you are done. Just repeat the wedging with the handle or wood. Use locktite on the nut also."
