" I am trying to remove the flywheel on my 200 hp Johnson but it will not come off. I have a puller on it and it is as tight as I can get it. I have tapped it with a hammer, applied light heat and bees wax and wd40. Nothing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

" Tom.... Hopefully you're using the proper puller which incorporates bolts that screw into the threaded holes surrounding the flywheel nut.

If so, apply the greatest amount of torque you can muster to the puller pressing screw, then instead of tapping that pressing screw.... Belt it as hard as possible with the biggest hammer you have.

Be sure to torque that flywheel nut to its proper specs when re-installing the flywheel/nut.

Joe---Thank you very much. That is what I was thinking too. I usually work on cars and I wasn't postive that it won't cause some sort of interal damage. First thing tomorrow I will clobber it.

Thanks again.
