Flywheel removal 1990 90 HP Force

Anyone got any ideas on flywheel removal from a 1991 90 HP Force? We've tried all the basic methods, i.e. flywheel puller, heat, liquid wrench or equal, etc. without success. I've heard about using an impact wrench which may be doable. Comments, anyone?

A good puller with grade 8 bolts and several blows with a 3.5 lb brass hammer worked for me. They are a fight as a search of the forum will show. I'd pass on the impact.

SAFETY GLASSES ARE A MUST!!!!!A good 3 prong puller and hardened bolts and washers.Undoo the nut and put it back on a few turns.Install the puller and tighten down with an impact wrench till it's real tight.Remove the impact and with a good hammer hit the puller bolt.It should pop off and then you can remove it.J
