Hey buddy I just went to the hardware store and purchased anything close and return the extras. Mine was 5/16 24. Maybe you could help me. I am trying to find a tool for holding the flywheel. Do you know what it is ?

Go to your auto parts store and get a flywheel holder that they use on cars.

I would recommend using an impact wrench

Go to Sears and get a craftsman strap wrench. It has an adjustable rubber band and worked great fro holding the flywheel of my 15hp.

I went to the local auto zone - they loan out tools - they had a big pulley puller and it worked well on my 140hp.
