Flywheel Magnets

Hi Guys

looking for advice


Have 175 Johnson year 2000 have been told magnets on flywheel have cracks and stator is leaking, Is this common and how is this caused?


New flywheel approx.$2000.00 Aus an that is just the parts is It safe to use second hand ?

Would that motor be one of those that have the magnets glued into the flywheel? I've never witnessed them personally, but it must have been common enough for me to have heard about it. I don't know, but it seems like they can be re-glued (????)
