flushing the cooling system

As a 'newbie' to mercruiser and inboard/sterndrives. Can anyone tell me do I need to drain the manifold on my 3ltr after each use? Or is flushing the sytem ,with fresh water,sufficient?

Ayuh,... Are you draining for Freeze protection,..??
The block drain is down low, portside of the block,...
Manifold drain is pretty much directly above it, pointed down....

If this is for saltwater flushin',... Just flush it with freshwater...

drain in winterizing, but it is too late now
