"So once again a 1988 29'
"So once again a 1988 29' Blackfin Flybridge with twin 454 model 350 inboards. I installed Floscan Twinscan got everything wired and started it up. I am getting 1.5 gph @ 500 rpm on the starboard and 2 gph @ 600 rpm on the port. I took her out on saturday and found that the starboard motor seems to burn 2gph less than the port. I also noticed that when I give it throttle it surges up then settles. I.E. cruising at 1500 rpm, I throttle up to 2200 rpm and the gauges go to 13-15 gph port and 10-13 starboard. They then settle back down to 10 gph port and 8 gph starboard approximately 10-20 seconds after throttle up.
Is this surge normal?
Any thoughts on why one motor burns 2gph less than the other at the same rpm?
I am going to replace all the filters and see if there is a change."
