Flooding out

Good afternoon, I was wondering if I could get some advice. I have a 1981 GM305 engine on an OMC stern drive. The carburator has been rebuilt twice in the last three months. Once by a friend and then just recently by a marine dealer mechanic. It continues to run rough and seems to have too much fuel in the bowls. Does anyone have an idea as to what this is?

Have you replaced the fuel lines lately it sounds like it could be bits of rubber in the float needle. Is the choke full open when the engine gets warm.

@ kimcrwbr1
thank you for the response, I will check and probably replace the fuel hoses this weekend, as for the choke, it appears to be full open, but when I partially close it I can keep it from stalling out, of course this is very difficult with an automatic choke

See the clear or yellow hose that runs from the fuel pump to the carb ? Does it have fuel in it ? If not then does the fuel pump give you 4-7 psi. No more no less. Finally did the the carb re-builders check the height of the float and does the float actually float or does the float have fuel in it ?
