Fleetwin Hood?

57 evinrude fleetwin. Is there an easy way to put that hood on. Having trouble getting it on because of shifter.

I'm not familiar with Evenrude but My 57 Gale Buccaneer has a shifter that rotates out of the way.
You pull it straight out and rotate.
