"Fabulous discussion board. Has given me lots to think of. Bought this beast earlier this year and have done 400 nautical miles with it.
Has a similar problem, not obtaining full revs and also a fuel problem somewhere. I am slowly doing little bits at a time so that I can still use the boat and justify the expence. I want to check the valve clearances and new timing belt before I tune too much more. Have changed fuel, hoses, filter, fuel pump and cleaned out and balanced the carbs. Starts and runs sweet. I noticed the float settings were not identical so I think this could be a problem, could someone e-mail me the diagram for setting height from the SELOC manual?.
Once I have done the timing belt I will go the hot spark route. I haven't really had much spark problems but a new coil is on the list too. Like the good old days adjusting points again.
18 foot that will sit at 3800 with 21 knots
