Fitting without hose

I'm buying a boat with a 2005 Mercury 200XL Saltwater Carb. series. I noticed that a fitting (close to starter) is open without a hose? Any idea about this fitting and why is open? Thanks in advance.

Oil injection ( supply from main tank to small tank) and is there a hose on the upper end of the fitting???-----------------Is the system in service or has it been bypassed ??--------------If still in service is it complete and hooked up ???

nice observation Racerone, I did not notice that until I did not see an oil tank unless thats it in the front.

If the oil tank was still there, it should stand out.

Thanks for the response racerone, the owner told that the oil injection is disabled, but I dont know how to identifiy the modifications related to the bypass of the mentioned system. Let me know any suggestion, thanks.

Just mix your gas and oil at 50:1--------------have fun with it.
