So I was doing some work on my carbs and the bolt at the bottom of the carb with the red seal, a drain plug, and I accidentally dropped the bolt. It fell to the bottom of the engine compartment and as I was fishing it out it fell down into the shaft where the shift linkage goes. My first question is do I need to retrieve the bolt? Second, if I need to retrieve the bolt, what is the best way to do it?

Remove the " horse shoe " cowling at the back of the motor.------Or just go to the hardware store and find / fit a new plug.-----No need to remove it.------It will not interfere with anything.

Thank you. I was mostly worried about having to remove it. Easy enough to find a new bolt for it.
