"Hi, I'm replacing an older circa 1974 mercury 50 hp outboard with a 1980 merc 50. The older motor is controlled by a mercontrol which has a plug going to the side of the outboard, while the 80's model, I believe, has a different style plug. Where can I find a good cross reference for what controllers will work. Also, any adapters that would make the old mercontrol work?"
