I have posted on here ttying to figure out why the timing kept changeing on my 2.3 liter. I have finally found the problem and corrected it. The dist. that was put into the engine was a reman. Whoever rebuilt the dist had the gear turned 180 degrees on the shaft. Because of that the roll pin did not go all the way through the gear andwas bending when the rpms were increased it broke but left a jagged point on the pin which would dig into the dist shaft and not let it move to far at a time. I wanted to thank everyone for their advise Now that the weather is warming up I can have aq good season on the lake. Michael
