100 on 5 cylinders & 0 on top right. Shined a light & saw a hole in the piston. Trying to decide Whether to rebuild the one cylinder or find a good used motor now. Wouldn’t mind having a 175 optimal if I can find one.

It says pro xs direct injection & has blue decals & a local dealer i know has it. Haven't saw it in person to know model number yet.

Now you know why I always insist on a compression test before guessing / throwing parts at a motor.-----Be careful on buying an Optimax.----Check parts availability / factory / dealer support for these motors.

I’ve known the dealer I’m talking to on the optimax for years& I’ll ask about that for sure. Another one I’ve known gave me a good price on a merc 150 four stroke with 60 hours on it too so I’m trying to decide what route I want to go. I could have him rebuild mine but I’m not sure that it’s really worth it. It has bend flawless but don’t know that it will be now.
