The round oily wire filter near around my carburator does it needs to be replace every year. I think its restricting air to carberator.

"Kelvin, as Robert said that is a flame arrestor. Take it off and soak it for a few hours in some dish soapy water perhaps scrubbing it with an old dish brush or something similar, then rinse it thoroughly with fresh water, and let it dry before re-installing it."

Remove it from the engine.

While still dry (no soapy water on it yet), spray it down with an enzyme type degreaser.... Castrol Super Clean, for example.

Let the chemical do it's job for 15 minutes.

Wash with warm soapy water.

Dry it...... reinstall."
