Most components will interchange on a FICHT 150 and 175. The key is they both have to be FICHT engines. Most likely just the EMM differs and everything else should be the same part numbers. What are you trying to swap between the two?Is a 1998 175 ficht compatible with the same year 150?
If what you say is so, then my buddy needs to buy this motor. He needs the lower unit and tilt trim. Then if the power head gets rebuilt he'll have 25 more horsepower. Yes, the Power Tilt/Trim will be a direct bolt on as will the lower unit. Is your buddy's 150 a FICHT or is it an Intruder/FastStrike? The reason I ask is the lower unit is directly compatible with both FICHT and Intruder/FastStrike (carbureted) motors. The one gotcha is the FICHT used a slightly longer shift rod than the carb'd motors. I found this out the hard way as my 1996 Intruder had a FICHT Lightning gear case transplanted when I bought it and I chased odd shifting behavior for a couple of years until I discovered this little fact.If what you say is so, then my buddy needs to buy this motor.
