Fiberglass exhaust fittings

The cast iron "Y" on my port engine has a crack. Could have purchased another cast iron "Y" opted for the fiberglass one to avoid future rust out. All salt water cooling. Any input on the fiberglass parts?
 
No personal history with FG Y's. I had a welded SS Y on mine; Even it developed a small leak at the weld. Had some straight FG exhaust sections near the mufflers and lasted over 30 years.
 
they work well....you just need to ensure the cooling water keep flowing....

Like the hoses, they don't tolerate hot gases very well....

I made mine out of the straight tube (4" inlets and 5" outlet)....they've lasted over 20 years....
