Fast Track (2wire) Tilt Trim Problem

I have a 1998 150hp Johnson Ficht Fast Strike with a Fast Track (2 wire) tilt trim system, I accidentally vapor locked it 2 years ago and released it by the manual release, then when I would tilt the motor down it hopped until it hits the trim Pistons. Yesterday I removed it from the boat and changed out a bunch of seals, o-rings, cleaned it up, ect. and it still hops. I've read past forums and done what everyone else has done and it hasn't helped! Please can somebody please tell me how to fix this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I meant the tilt tube where the motor attaches to the swivel bracket where the steering goes through. They sometimes bind up when moving up and down.

if you're talking about that little 4 to 6 inch pin then I didn't notice anything wrong with it while I was cleaning it but some Scotch-Brite. However it's been sitting in the upward tilt position as high as possible for a couple of hours and then I went to lower it and there was not near as much hopping while it was tilting downward. Then I raised it up as high as it could go and started bringing it down and it started hopping all over again in the same position as it did before

I'm talking about the parts that mount on the transom where the motor moves up and down. Sometimes those bushings freeze up.
