My 92 Johnson 150 is

My 92 Johnson 150 is starved for fuel. It will fire up & idle, it will also get out of the hole and run un up to speed. But, soon as the fuel from the line is gone it shuts down. I replaced the hand bulb today but I get the same thing. It gets fuel all the way to the filter with no problem. Need help?????? "

I myself would change all the fuel lines and then ck pump on motor and make sure it was working properly. Check your pickup tube down in the tank could have trash in it.

" by filter do you mean (inline filter on the fuel line)if so you need to look for the filter cartridge,which looks like an oil filter (probably somewhere under the transom) "

Sorry my bad I was refering to the screen filter under the fuel pump but your 150 wouldn't have that type of fuel pump.

" PopsRanger Sounds as if your fuel pump is not operating properly. To determine if this so, have someone manually pump the hand bulb and see if the motor runs properly. If it runs properly, check the vacuum lines which operate the fuel punp, rebuild the pump etc. "
