Hello, new to the MerCruiser world and could use some help with year identification and what Factory Service manual for my engine. The boat is an early 70s Glasply 21 foot cruiser that was repowered about 5 years ago with a “new” stern drive. The stern drive is a Mercury, MerCruiser, Alpha One, Drive Ratio 1.47R, SN 0L943069. The engine SN 0B552102 is on a label on the port valve cover. The port side rear of the motor reads ” 5.7 ltr”. On the carburetor cover is says MerCruiser 260hp / Alpha One. Additionally, the tag on the carburetor reads MerCruiser 260 / 1347-9662. It has a closed cooling system with the heat exchanger mounted at the rear of the motor. The MerCruiser Manual that came with the boat is Number 2 and I beleave that this was for the original powertrain. I think the motor fals into the category of MerCruiser 260/5.7L GM 350 V-8 1987-1995 0B525982 THRU 0F600999 but am not sure. And I believe that the proper Service Manual is #6 90-12934--2 1983-1990 Sterndrives - R, MR, Alpha One & Alpha One SS. Can someone please verify these suspicions or point me on the correct path?
