Hi all
Would greatly appreciate advice troubleshooting carby issue on my F9.9.
Australian stock, model F9.9LMHB serial number 6AUK -L -1083672 with 120 hours on it.
Engine ran fine when new, but since water-contaminated fuel at around 20 hours, it is Surging and at idle, sometimes dying, even when motor warmed up. External tacho shows revs surging between ~900 and ~1700 rpm. 2000rpm up to 5400rpm she runs fine, no surging apparent.
Have twice removed carby and meticulously cleaned jets, float valve gallery, and paying particular attention to the idle circuit, with no resolution of issue.
Tried bypassing external fuel filter and in-situ fuel line & primer bulb [connecting tote tank directly to engine with known-good hose, primer bulb fitted in correct direction] no resolution of issue.
I am in a very remote location and don't have access to carby cleaner spray or ultrasonic cleaner.
This is my daily driver, four days a week in very remote conditions.
Hugely appreciative of any advice on getting this little donk running sweetly again.
thanks!
Corey
