F80 charging faults

Burnt out regulator and stator any reasons y and cost to fix ?

Did the batteries get hooked up backwards. Were the batteries fully charged? Are they less than two years old?

Stator is about 400.00 regulator/rectifier about 230.00
Figure dealer is going to charge 2-3 hours labor with diagnostic time.

Thanks for the reply, must have hooked the batteries up wrong at some stage, will have to be more carefull time. Are this parts prices genuine or after market?.

From Yamaha. I don't think CDI produces them. You have to diagnose the system with a DVA (Peak voltage meter) and see which part has failed.
