"My dad has a pair of F250 Yam

"My dad has a pair of F250 Yamaha 2006. Motors have 120 hours on them. Just recently performed 100 hour service. Also changed out both water pumps. Since 100 hour service, the left hand motor overheats at idle and low RPM. Also, the command link shows the same motor is running hotter than the other motor at cruising speeds. I notice that the water coming out of the pee hole has a weaker flow than that of the other motor. Even while flushing with the hose adapter, the water doesn't stream out of the pee hole as strong as it should. Instead, it more less gushes out of the water pump intake on the foot. And the other water intake/return holes on the foot seem to be constricted during flushing. If there is anybody that can point me in the right direction, I need it. Thanks for helping me out!"

"Jeremy, it sounds like maybe

"Jeremy, it sounds like maybe a bit of crud got into the water system when the impeller was changed, or alternately a seal was dislodged or damaged during the re-install.

In any event, it is worth having the lower unit on the (bad) motor pulled again and inspected. It is not uncommon to develop a problem after an impeller change due to one small step that was missed or overlooked..."

"Well, I removed the lower uni

"Well, I removed the lower unit. Put new bottom plate and gasket on the water pump housing. I have also removed both thermostats on the faulty engine. The thermostats seem good, although I will replace. No gunk built up in the thermostats or housings. What next? Is there a way to backflush the cooling system now that I have the stats out? What do you recommend me to do? If more info is needed on my end, let me know. I appreciate all of the help I can get to resolve this issue! Thanks! Jeremy"
