"Hello everyone, I have a 2004

"Hello everyone, I have a 2004 F150 Yamaha which I have had to the dealer each year for regular maintenance and servicing. I have 500+ hours on the motor and love the motor. At idle i get an intermittent squeal that may not show up for a few trips and then all of a sudden to shows up....drives me crazy, but worries me when I start getting offshore. I've told the tech numerous times and after he replaced and lubed pretty much everything on the motor I still get the noise. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

"You should get the engine bal

"You should get the engine balancer checked, there is a TSI on those and the balancer has been modified. The old balancer can cause a squeal and in worse case strip the nylon gears.
Normaly it is for engines with with these serial numbers and above.
F150A 63P-1050998-
FL150A 64P 1006995-
But have found this problem with engines not in this serial number range.
The new part number is 63P-11500-02

Thanks Terry I'll take a look at my serial numbers and talk to my new mechanic. Thanks for the info and when he finds the problem I'll post!
