Exhaust Tube vs Bellows

"I'm rebuilding my alpha 1

"I'm rebuilding my alpha 1 transom assy that I purchased to replace my 888. I've notice some of the rebuild kits have an exhaust bellows and some have an exhaust tube. I read where the exhaust tube is a direct replcement for the bellows. Is this so? If so what about the flexability of the tube vs. the bellows? Also I've notice the tube only has a clamp on one end. What gives here?

"Mike, the tube has 1 clamp for the gimble side of the housing, the drive then drops down on to the cone shaped opening of the tube and exhaust goes out the foot. when instaled corectly the tube covers the opening on the outdrive throughout the fully trimed down to the upper limit."
