Exhaust Question

I just got my new 5.7 engine b

I just got my new 5.7 engine back in my boat and got it running. I noticed that when hooked up to the water hose that most of the water and exhaust was not comming out through the prop but under the drive unit. Is this correct? I don't remember how it was before the engine swap and just want to make sure it is ok before I put it in the lake for the first time.

I have a 5.8 volvo penta inboa

I have a 5.8 volvo penta inboard. I am getting alot of white exaust when i give it the the gas and this continues till I idle it bak down. Do you have any answers.
